The Technical Digital Analytics Intern will work closely with our Data Enablement team to learn the ins and outs of collecting, connecting, and enabling activation of marketing data. The person in this role will be formally trained in widely used digital analytics tools such as Google Analytics, Google BigQuery, Google Tag Manager, and Google Looker Studio and will have the opportunity to contribute directly to client work by maintaining, implementing, and customizing these tools for Collegis' university/college partners.

The Technical Digital Analytics intern will work side-by-side with Technical Digital Analysts, Data Engineers, Data Reporting/Activation Specialists and will collaborate with teams across Marketing, and Admissions. This intern will also be exposed to digital marketing tools and platforms such as Salesforce, Google Ads, Bing Ads, LinkedIn Ads, Facebook Ads, among other platforms.

Established responsibilities:

• Maintain, implement, and customize tagging requirements for Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager accounts.
• Evaluate web analytics implementations using technology mapping and systems architectures to discover opportunities to improve data collection.
• Develop Google Looker Studio reports/user guides to visualize customized data collection.
• Document systems, processes, and procedures for marketing platform data.
• Maintain user permissions for different platforms i.e.. Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, ThoughtSpot, etc.
• Adhere to the appropriate information security policies based on the sensitivity of company data.
• Assist marketing with data to aid optimization/measurement of Owned Media, Paid Media, SEO, Website Optimization, Email, Organic Social, Earned Media, and Traditional.
• Support development of marketing reporting on campaign performance.

Experience and Qualifications:

• Familiarity with web analytics tools and technology like Google Tag Manager or Google Analytics (or willingness to learn)
• Familiarity with CRM systems like Salesforce, Slate, HubSpot (or willingness to learn)
• Willingness to learn basic JavaScript/SQL code
• Ability to work 25-40 hours a week Monday-Friday; flexible scheduling during normal business hours
• Strong organizational skills
• Strong documentation skills
• Ability to prioritize tasks based on manager feedback
• Ability to work independently
• Demonstrate resourcefulness, motivation, initiative
• Interested in learning about Marketing/Media
• Detail-oriented; comfortable working with Excel
• Understanding of basic HTML/CSS (bonus points if a candidate already has these skills, but prior experience is not required)

Requirements:

• Pursuing a Degree in MIS, IS, Business Analytics, Computer Science, a related field or equivalent experience
