    ABOUT NCH

    NCH is a non-profit healthcare system with two hospitals and over 700 physicians throughout Southwest Florida. We offer nationally-recognized, quality healthcare and are committed to providing higher acuity care, Graduate Medical Education, and participation in national clinical trials.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Independently plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care in patient care situations
    • Provide direct nursing care and assume teaching and leadership responsibilities
    • Participate in shared decision making, unit committee, and quality improvement activities
    • Coordinate care delivery, employ patient teaching to promote health and safety
    • Contribute to quality nursing practice and shared decision making
    • Collaborate with patient, family, and inter-professional team in nursing practice
    • Utilize appropriate resources to provide safe, effective, and financially responsible care
    • Assist with the orientation of new personnel and serve as preceptor

    QUALIFICATIONS

    • Minimum of 1 year of experience as RN in acute care
    • Experience in pediatric ICU or Emergency required
    • Licensed as a Registered Nurse or Advanced Practice Registered Nurse in the State of Florida
    • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Red Cross or American Heart Association
    • Advanced Life Support (ALS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification required
    • Candidates without Emergency Department experience and new graduate RNs will complete fellowship program
