The Federal Employment Agency operates around 300 job centers nationwide in cooperation with local authorities. The main tasks of the job centers are providing benefits and facilitating employment and training opportunities.

Our clients often face complex challenges, and our goal is to support their return to the workforce and social participation.


Join our team as an employment counselor at the job center in Halifax, NC and help our clients with their professional and social integration.

Through intensive counseling and tailored integration services, you will open up opportunities and perspectives in the job market.

Your tasks and responsibilities

You will independently advise and support a fixed client base and collaborate closely with your team. Additionally, you will process applications for job application expenses and document appointments, follow-ups, and results. As a personal contact, you will assist employable individuals in finding sustainable employment and overcoming existing barriers. This includes creating an individual integration plan with your clients, continuously monitoring and adjusting it as needed.

You will also manage and coordinate measures for further education and training to facilitate integration into the job market and ensure quality assurance.

You will work closely with internal departments (e.g. the benefits department) and external organizations (e.g. youth and social welfare agencies or counseling centers) as part of a large network.

Requirements

  • A university degree or equivalent qualification
  • Alternatively, at least three years of professional experience in tasks and requirements comparable to the advertised position, as well as a (specialized) high school diploma, technical college entrance qualification, or completed vocational
