In these two apprenticeships, you will start together and spend the first year of training together. After that, it will be decided how your path will continue: either with training as a specialist in metal technology or with the profession of production mechanic.

As a specialist in metal technology in the field of "assembly technology", you will manufacture and assemble metal components, assemblies or constructions. In the 2-year training, you will become an expert in the production and processing of metal parts using various methods and machines.

The training as a production mechanic lasts a total of 3 years and requires good knowledge of the material flow and the quality requirements for our products. Your tasks include the assembly of components and assemblies in industrial series production, for example in the Fiesta or Focus assembly or in the engine plant.

What you will learn in the training:

  • Getting to know assembly techniques, work organization and work processes
  • Planning and controlling work and movement processes
  • Checking, documenting and evaluating results
  • Machine cutting - turning and milling, basics of sheet metal processing and joining technology
  • Manufacturing of series parts in production areas of the body and chassis plant or engine plant according to specifications
  • Assembling and disassembling components, assemblies, machines and/or complete products
