- The primary function of the Lead Perfusionist is to operate and manage extra-corporeal circulation equipment during medical or surgical procedures.
- Supervise staff perfusionists and oversee set-up, delivery, and maintenance of relevant equipment.
- Assume Chief Perfusionist responsibilities in their absence.
- Provide service for adults, older adults, and the frail elderly.
- Bachelor's Degree in Science preferred.
- Minimum of four years experience as a clinical perfusionist required.
- Must be a graduate of an accredited Perfusion School or have started perfusion career prior to April 15, 1981.
- Licensure/Certification: Licensed by Pennsylvania State Board of Medicine OR State Board of Osteopathic Medicine and Certified (CCP) by American Board of Cardiovascular Perfusion.
