Head of Engineering

Boston, MA (Remote - USA)

A leading SaaS startup is looking to bring on a hands-on Head of Engineering to bring the team's technology team and ecosystem to the next level.

This person will report directly to the CTO and will be tasked with leading, scaling and enhancing current technology offerings; along with contributing to architecture, development and deployments of greenfield systems and new-feature enhancements.

Additionally, this person will take ownership of the existing engineering team spanning mentorship, coaching, leading code reviews and growing into a full-force people manager as the firm scales.

Requirements:

8-10+ years of professional software engineering experience (3-5 years with a startup is preferred)
Expertise developing with Python stack (Flask, FastAPI) and ability to work in a full-stack capacity using modern ReactJS and other technologies
Hands-on experience building applications within an AWS-native ecosystem
Ability to lead, inspire and mentor engineering teams with a long-term goal of taking on full management/director-level responsibilities in a fast-growing startup
Excellent communication skills, ability to collaborate with non-technical stakeholders across the business
BS or MS in Computer Science (or related STEM field)
