- Read and review estate planning documents and develop easy-to-understand summaries for clients.
- Identify and evaluate strategies, risks, and planning opportunities.
- Collaborate with clients and their attorneys to develop and implement strategies.
- Monitor trust and estate law, educating colleagues and clients on relevant changes.
- Create content for marketing related to estate planning topics.
- Join client and prospect meetings to advise on issues and proposals.
- Lead internal group meetings to respond to client death or divorce, and establish best practices surrounding those events
- Help wealth management teams integrate estate planning needs with other aspects of client plans, including income tax, insurance, philanthropy, and business succession.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of the client experience.
- Collaborate with the financial planning team to update and maintain best practices and operational efficiencies.
- JD degree
- Minimum 5 years practicing estate planning.
- Deep understanding of estate planning strategies.
- Solid knowledge of Massachusetts estate rules and regulations.
- Must be able to review and summarize estate planning documents, as well as identify weaknesses and opportunities.
- Exceptional attention to detail.
- Demonstrated high ethical standards.
- Experience with applications that illustrate planning techniques, such as eMoney, MoneyGuide, Vanilla or FP Alpha .
