Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

We are looking for a driven software engineering professional to join our leadership team. This individual will be responsible for coaching, supporting, training, and motivating team members to ensure high performance. Key responsibilities include personnel management, performance assessment, career development, program assignments, training plans, staffing, and recruiting.

The Software Manager role involves promoting a productive work environment, defining roles and responsibilities, setting performance standards, supporting engineers, rewarding exceptional performance, interviewing and onboarding talent, providing career guidance, leading technical reviews, enforcing software development processes, mentoring team members, ensuring necessary resources, and more.

Qualifications and Education Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field
Minimum 10 years of software development experience
3-5 years of leadership experience
Previous experience in supporting military or defense programs
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
Ability to manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines
Proven track record of building relationships and working cross-functionally
Active DoD Secret Clearance within the last five years
Must be a U.S. citizen due to government contract requirements

Preferred Skills:
Experience in Agile/SAFe leadership roles
Strategic thinking and customer satisfaction orientation
5+ years of leadership experience
15+ years of software development experience
Proven talent recruitment skills

Security Responsibilities:

Adherence to company security and data protection policies is essential. The incumbent must be eligible for DoD Personal Security Clearance and uphold confidentiality standards.

Salary Range:

$117,900 - $147,400

Salary is determined based on various factors including work experience, qualifications, skills, internal equity, and market analysis.
