- Develop and implement a comprehensive strategic and tactical marketing strategy that aligns with the company's overall goals and objectives to attract new clients and retain existing ones, focusing on municipalities and government agencies.
- Oversee all digital and traditional marketing efforts, including social media, SEO, email campaigns, content creation, and public relations.
- Lead and manage a team of marketing professionals (Public Information and Education, Digital Marketing Manager, Copywriter, freelancers), setting goals and providing guidance and mentorship.
- Collaborate with the sales team and other departments to align marketing strategies with sales objectives, product development, and customer success initiatives.
- Drive demand generation and lead generation efforts through a variety of channels, including digital marketing, events, and content marketing.
- Analyze market trends and competitor activity to adjust marketing strategies and tactics to make data-driven decisions.
- Enhance brand awareness and market penetration in existing and new markets.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key industry influencers and partners.
- Manage the marketing budget and ensure that all activities are cost-effective and meet ROI targets.
- Ability to travel 25-50%.
- University/College degree or equivalent experience required.
- 8-10 years of marketing experience with a minimum of 5 years in a leadership role
- Proven track record of developing and executing successful marketing strategies.
- Strong experience in B2B, digital and traditional marketing
- Knowledge of the traffic safety, automated enforcement and / or software industries (Preferred)
- High proficiency in the MS Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Teams), MS Cloud Suite (Sharepoint), and Adobe Creative Suite.
- Experience in a small, fast-growing company.
- Experience leading and managing a team of marketing professionals.
- Ability to communicate with all levels of team members - from field sales to C-level and business owners.
- Motivated and focused initiative-taker with strong leadership skills who can multi-task, work independently and within a team.
- Strong organizational, presentation, and communication skills necessary.
- CRM and database experience.
- The Director of Marketing reports directly to the VP of Sales & Marketing. This role works closely with the leadership for Sales & Marketing, Operations, Permitting and Program Management, Finance, the Technology Division, and Agency Operations.
