    Kdc/one is currently hiring for a Quality Assurance Manager at our Columbus, Ohio facility.

    Summary:


    The Quality Assurance Manager is responsible for leading, organizing, directing and measuring all activities related to Quality Assurance so the company can meet production and financial goals and remain in compliance with GMP and FDA regulations.


    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
    Leads, assigns and manages the activities of the Quality Assurance Department (e.g. Quality Assurance Inspectors, Documentation Control, Incoming Inspectors) to ensure optimal results in safety, quality, productivity and cost.

    Trains, coaches and develops employees within the department to ensure performance expectations and department objectives are met according to established standards; manages performance expectations and delivers feedback.

    Leads and/or participates in root cause investigations stemming from non-conforming results and ensures corrective actions are implemented; reviews and signs off on documentation related to the investigation.

    Reviews and approves quality-controlled documents to assess content, justification for change and impact to the business and documentation related to the product release process to ensure cGMP requirements are followed and documents are accurate.

    Prepares and distributes key performance metrics and trend reports related to the results of the Quality department; communicates any areas of concern or risk to the Senior Leadership Team.

    Supports the Director of Quality in the preparation of the Annual Product Review of OTC Drug Products and

    participates in the Internal Quality Audit program.

    Facilitates the documentation process initiated by Customer Service and/or Engineering for new product start-ups and process transfers; ensures all documentation, such as bill of materials and fill & assembly documents, are complete and ready for production.

    Identifies, leads, and drives opportunities to improve quality systems and develop long-term strategies that support the success of the business.

    Develops policies and procedures that ensure proper accountability and assists in developing long-term plans for the quality organization; s upports and guides other departments through implementing and sustaining high quality standards and performance, including the resolution of quality related issues affecting the product batch release process.

    Interacts with customers as a representative for KDC quality.

    Completes employee performance reviews, time cards, preliminary budgetary information, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Work Instructions (WIs), {insert any other documents} and other paperwork according to established company policy.

    Maintains confidentiality of employee personnel records and salary information; {inserts any other confidential information} other sensitive and confidential information.
    Exhibits regular and predictable attendance and works outside of the normal schedule as needed due to workplace demands (e.g. supporting off-shifts). Performs other related duties as required.

    Minimum Qualifications:
    Bachelor's Degree in a science or other technical related field.
    Minimum of 5 years in a Quality Assurance role with experience in preparing or reviewing technical reports/documents.
    Minimum of 5 years previous supervisory experience.
    Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

    Knowledge of:

    Microsoft Office Suite:
    FDA Good Manufacturing Practices and OSHA Safety Requirements; SAP

    Skill in:
    solving problems analytically; prioritizing work to ensure deadlines are met; managing, coaching and developing others; being organized.

    Ability to:
    manage multiple and competing priorities; resolve difficult situations with no clear direction; adapt to change; develop and maintain good working relationships; lead and develop a high-performing team; develop and maintain processes and workflows; be detail-oriented; communicate effectively both verbally and in writing to a diverse group of individuals; present information to large and small groups to different levels across with organization and with customers ; be organized and work quickly and efficiently with short deadlines; multi-task; read, comprehend and follow written and verbal instructions, including SOPs; work independently and as part of a team; operate a computer; wear required PPE (e.g. long pants, safety shoes, protective eyewear) as needed when walking through the facility.

    Working Conditions and Physical Demands:
    Must be able to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds manually.

    A climate-controlled office environment; the noise level is usually moderately quiet, however the individual must be able to work for extended periods of time on the production floor where the noise level is moderately loud.

    Must be able to sit for long periods of time in front of a computer, stand, walk, use hands to handle and feel, reach with hands or arms, stoop, crouch, talk, hear, push and pull.

    Exposure to frequent movement of motorized equipment throughout the facility, including electric pallet jacks, forklifts, etc.

    Supervisory Responsibilities:
    Manages and directs the work of up to 1 exempt employees and 40 non-exempt employees.
