- General Maintenance - Routine maintenance and assembly of campus equipment and accessories such as window blinds, restroom partitions, toilet and paper towel dispensers, bulletin boards, mirrors, chairs, desks, drawers, etc. Perform routine inspections and preventive and proactive maintenance on campus equipment and structures, such as testing required safety equipment and cleaning and repairing guttering/drainage systems. Perform minor concrete installation and repair.
- Grounds-All aspects of grounds maintenance, including, but not limited to, the maintenance and repair of structures, fountains, and irrigation systems.
- Custodial - Clean-up assistance, moving office furniture, event setups, etc.
- Scheduled and emergency on-call services for nights and weekends in all abovementioned skills.
- Provide help as assigned and as necessary with weather-related responses such as damage repair or clean-up of wind, flooding, snow removal, etc. Carpentry/Locks - Construction, remodeling, repairs, and installation of doors and door hardware, flooring, ceilings, walls, windows and screens, railings, etc. Preparing and applying coatings, including paint, stain, varnish, epoxy, etc., to the interior and exterior of buildings, facilities, and equipment. Assembly, installation, repair, and changing of lock cores and fabrication of keys.
- Plumbing - Maintain and repair mechanical systems, hot water and steam boiler systems, machines, mechanical equipment, toilets, tubs, showers and sinks, laundry systems, building systems, and campus structures. Clearing, cleaning, maintenance , and repair of interior and exterior drains. Maintenance of potable water softeners and systems.
- Electrical-Required repairs and maintenance on campus electrical systems, fire alarm and suppression sprinkler systems, and light fixture and bulb replacement.
- HVAC - Required maintenance on water treatment systems boiler treatment, assist with maintenance and cleaning of cooling/heating system condensers and coils.
- Grounds - All aspects of grounds maintenance including, but not limited to, maintenance and repair of structures, fountains, and irrigation systems.
- Custodial - Clean-up assistance, moving office furniture, event setups, etc.
- Scheduled and emergency on-call services for nights and weekends in all skills as indicated above.
- Provide help as assigned and as necessary with weather-related responses, such as damage repair or clean-up of wind, flooding, snow removal, etc.
- Order and maintain, per prescribed procedures, all supplies necessary to accomplish jobs and also assure used and/or defective items are properly disposed of.
- Learn and use the computerized on-line Campus Facilities maintenance management system to compose and access work orders. Fill out and submit completed work orders in a timely manner.
- Adhere to all safety regulations, policies, and procedures.
- Strive to be in compliance with all OSHA and EPA regulations.
- Participate in team meetings, providing input and suggestions.
- Provide continual evaluation of processes and procedures. Responsible for suggesting methods to improve area operations, efficiency and service to both internal and external customers.
- Work in collaboration and cooperation within the Campus Facilities department and with other departments and academic divisions on campus, using timely and appropriate judgment in upward communication regarding department concerns and responsibilities
- Regular and satisfactory attendance and punctuality.

Job Description
Maintenance positions are responsible for maintaining all campus facilities, including, but not limited to, building, installation, repair, and maintenance of campus buildings, facilities, and equipment.
They also sweep sidewalks and remove snow as required, assist in other facilities departments as needed, and perform other duties as assigned.
