    Job DescriptionQuality Assurance Technician Direct HireTraining: 7am – 4pm for 2-3 weeks before moving to 2nd or 3rd shiftHours: 2nd shift 4pm – 2:30am M-FHours: 3rd shift 11pm – 7:30am M-FPay Rate: 20.50 / $1 shift differentialEnvironment: Office/Climate ControlledLocation: NewtonESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
    1. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily with or without accommodation.
    2. Responsible for testing, and reporting of all analyses for both internal and external customers
    3. Performs accurate analysis of routine and non-routine samples.
    4. Promptly communicates important quality, safety, and security concerns to co-workers, and Quality Assurance Manager.
    5. Calibrate and/or trouble-shoot each analysis, maintaining calibration logs for each of the testing procedures.
    6. Maintains a clean and orderly work area in addition to assigned sanitation duties
    QUALIFICATIONS:Must have a minimum of 2 years working as a quality technician in a manufacturing environment.
    1. Ability to effectively prioritize and organize tasks and follow through to ensure completion of assignments in an efficient and high-quality manner.
    2. Must exhibit a high aptitude of troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
    3. Must have the ability to understand how materials flow through a particular process and/or a sequence of operations.
    4. Knowledge of and ability to operate Microsoft office software, Internet and Intranet and other computer software to complete essential duties and responsibilities.
    5. Ability to maintain open communication with both internal and external customers.
    6. Must have a HS Diploma
    MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.REASONING ABILITY:Must use solid judgment when making decisions. Must have ability to quickly recognize and plan for changing work duties and events.
