As we continue to innovate, we are seeking a Principal Technical Product Leader to own, build and execute the north star program for launching 0-1 cold start products for D2C brands and customers. The dynamics of developing and launching these products can make or break product success and is a costly and challenging task for brands to execute. The suite of solutions offered by Amazon are intended to right size these strategies for D2C brands and position these products for successful discovery. Amazon is uniquely positioned to help brands meet their objectives, offering varied and diverse Ads platform real estate across Amazon's multi- dimensional product suite. This is a hands-on leadership position seeking individuals who can think big, create structure and effectiveness in ambiguity, draw on their deep dive understanding of the digital Ads landscape by levering experience in working with cross- functional teams, including distribution leaders, applied scientists and engineers. Key job responsibilities
    • Own the development of cold start product strategy and roadmap toward delivery, including test and learn plans, product design architecture and product optimization tools for product market fit.
    • Develop and own key metrics and customer success drivers through partnership with sales, engineering and applied science teams.
    • Serve as the primary interface between partner teams to influence their roadmap and assure that we are positioned to deliver the highest value product for our customers.
    • Provide thoughtful leadership rooted in data by generating customer insights, track competitive landscape and industry trends and inform product refinements to keep Amazon as the forefront leader of Brand Advertising.
    A day in the life
    • Proven experience launching cold start D2C products, including developing the launch strategy and roadmap, working with technical teams, creative, applied analytics and engineering to develop, test, learn and adjust measurements for brand success.
    • Managing and partnering with technical teams directly is a must; this role will be the key decision maker in making engineering decisions about how product software, hardware and data models impact our ability to deliver for cold start consumer brands.
    • Proven and tried experience understanding trade – offs given real world constraints re: product performance, scalability, latency and security related to the build.

    • Bachelor's degree
    • Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition
    • Experience owning feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product
    • Experience technical product management
    • Experience contributing to engineering discussions around technology decisions and strategy related to a product
    Preferred Qualifications
    • Experience in project management methodologies, business analysis, or process improvement
    • Experience leading cross-organizational programs and setting and holding teams and individuals to timelines and deliverables without explicit authority

The base pay for this position ranges from $144,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $279,900/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
