    Description


    Dixon is looking for a CNC setup Machinist to join its manufacturing team on 2nd shift at their Houston, Texas facility.

    The CNC Set up Machinist will set up and operate computer numerical controlled (CNC) lathes to produce precision metal components, inspect products to drawing specifications.

    In this position you will learn to recognize machining issues and how to fix them. Must be able to train on first shift and have 5 years of experience.

    Responsibilities:


    Set up and run CNC machinesDaily maintenance activitiesTrouble shoot program issuesWork safely around equipment and co-workersFlexibility with rotating assignmentsWork as part of a team and participate in trainingCompetencies:Familiar with G & M codeBe able to read blue printsBe able to use measuring toolsGood reading and math skillsStand for duration of shiftLift and maneuver 70 lbs.
