Functions:

  • To perform all work duties safely, as well as maintain and promote the Tyson safety culture.
  • Receive training as required.
  • Perform other duties/positions as required/assigned.

Tasks:


  • Be able to read the daily schedule and determine product sequence.
  • Perform daily forklift inspection and submit documentation to supervisor.
  • Assure the proper raw meat and plate setting is being used according to the work order.
  • Ensure the required meat is provided to the grinder and move ground meat from the grinder by forklift.
  • Label and cover all vats before moving.
  • Scan all meat to process order and produce HUs using the EIM system.
  • Ensure proper program is set on metal detector based on meat being ran.
  • Inspect grinder plates every hour for possible foreign material.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
  • Setup and teardown conveyor system and grinder.
  • Complete all required production documents and submit to supervisor.
  • Report any issues related to maintenance or quality of the product to supervisor.
  • Enter all required information into the Safety Chain-Plant View QA System.

Requirements:


  • Must have 3 months work history with the same employer.
  • Must have 6 months of machine operator experience.
  • Safety Chain/Plant view, SAP and EIM experience preferred.
  • Ability to operate equipment using a touch screen.
  • Must be able to become forklift certified or have one year prior forklift operating experience.
