    Description:
    The Director, Corporate Affairs, Cardiovascular Communications will be a key contributor in driving U.S. communications for products in the company's cardiovascular franchise, working in close collaboration with the U.S. Brand leads, and developing strategic communications for marketed brands in the U.S. This role works closely with the U.S.

    commercial teams to help drive effective communications and PR initiatives that are aligned with the business and support the company's corporate strategic messages.

    This role develops public relations programs for brands in the cardiovascular space.


    The successful candidate is an experienced strategic counselor who is comfortable providing guidance to senior leaders on issues critical to brand and corporate reputation; has a strong commercial focus and business acumen, including a solid understanding of the US healthcare market; how policy, advocacy, pricing and access work together to implement integrated strategies; a critical thinker who can process information quickly to recommend integrated communications strategies to achieve goals; has demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities of the product portfolio and work in a highly matrixed environment; has a successful record in issues and crisis management, with established media and opinion leader relationships and strong relationship management skills.

    Requires solid understanding of the changing global media environment and the role of digital media in reaching key audiences. Must have experience managing multiple agency teams and adhering to a budget.

    This position is an individual contributor but will manage a broad internal stakeholder group to ensure integrated and coordinated communication plans.


    Requirements:
    Bachelors Degree required, with a degree in communications or related field preferred.

    The ideal candidate must have 10-12 years of experience in healthcare communications; possess excellent written and oral communication skills; demonstrate a proven ability to drive strategic communication initiatives aligned with broader company objectives; and be able to quickly learn the business and operate within a complex, fast paced and changing environment.

    Strategic, conceptual thinking and strong interpersonal skills required.
