    Description

    Our client is in need of a Bodily Injury Claim Examiner with a minimum of 5 – 7 years of experience handling Commercial Automobile Claims.

    Experience handling Trucking Claims is a requirement. Candidates must have an active adjuster's license in either Texas or Florida to immediately support our underwriting growth. This Position may require 5% - 10% out of state travel in order to attend mediations, arbitrations and trials.

    THIS COULD BE A REMOTE POSITION.

    Regardless where the Claim Examiner lives, there is an in office requirement of 4 – 6 days a year to attend important Company meetings, performance evaluation discussions, etc.

    Job Description

    The Bodily Injury Claims Examiner will manage an inventory of commercial automobile bodily injury claims, including files in Litigation. Minimal property damage handling will be expected, as well.

    Duties and Responsibilities

    • Maintain accurate reserves, including timely reserve changes
    • Diligently manage loss adjustment expenses
    • Communicate with policyholders, brokers, underwriters, reinsurers and Management
    • Complete large loss reports and file presentations to Senior Management, as necessary
    • Retain expert vendors, as necessary, to aid the investigation and evaluation of claims
    • Collaborate with and mentor peers
    • Investigate coverage issues and work closely with coverage counsel
    • Manage the litigation lifecycle and defense counsel to ensure the best path to resolution
    Basic Job Requirements

    • TX or FL adjuster license required
    • 5-7 years of automobile Casualty Claims experience
    • Litigation experience
    • Commercial auto experience
    • Strong investigation, evaluation and negotiation skills
    • Exceptional attention to detail, time management and ability to work independently with minimal supervision
    • Ability to regularly interact with senior management
    • Assist with special projects to support Claims as needed
    • 5% - 10% out of state travel
    • Attend mediations, arbitrations, settlement conferences, and trial
