Role Overview - Accounting Manager:The Accounting Manager will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing timely reports, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.

By providing reliable financial information and analysis, the Accounting Manager will enable our client's leadership to make informed decisions that drive the non-profit's programs and initiatives forward.

Responsibilities of the Accounting Manager include:

Manage and mentor Accountant and Accounts Payable Specialist
Ensure accurate and timely billing to all funders
Oversee accounts payable, receivable, general ledger, and bank reconciliations
Manage monthly financial close process and production of financial reports
Reconcile monthly activity with Resource Development team
Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements for accuracy and completeness
Audit accounts for compliance with state and federal regulations
Collaborate with operations and program teams on billing and accounting matters
Assist in maintaining adequate financial controls
Support annual budget process with Controller and CFO
Perform ad hoc duties and analyses as assigned

Qualifications of the Accounting Manager include:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Business Administration
4-6 years of related accounting experience
1-2 years of supervisory experience
Advanced proficiency in accounting software (NetSuite preferred) and Excel
Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting
Experience with state grants and contracts a plus
Excellent communication, organization, and time management skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
Public accounting or non-profit experience preferred
