- Routinely advise to HR and business leaders on all aspects of the employee life cycle, including hiring, performance counseling, compensation, accommodations, leave, terminations, pay equity, and restrictive covenants.
- Advise on compliance with employment laws including: FLSA, ADA/ADAAA, ADEA, Title VII, EPA, FMLA, OWBPA, and local leave laws.
- Assist with employment litigation including: non compete and breach of contract claims, discrimination and retaliation claims, and wage and hour claims,
- Advise on matters related to employment agreements and compliance with restrictive covenants.
- Draft employment, separation, and compensation agreements.
- Conduct internal investigations
- Assist with reductions in force and compliance with OWBPA.
- Assist in responding to pre-litigation demands and EEOC/agency charges.
- Provide employment law support on corporate transactions/deals.
- Review and revise employment policies.
- 3-7+ years of relevant employment law experience with law firm. In-house experience preferred, but not required.
- Positive, collaborative attitude and willingness to roll up your sleeves to work on a wide range of routine to complex projects.
- Employment and restrictive covenant litigation experience.
- Experience advising on employment laws and managing risk.
- Deep expertise and working knowledge of US employment laws.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Ability to work effectively with internal clients, including senior leadership, and work collaboratively across multiple functional groups.
- Ability to balance legal risks with business objectives and propose strategic solutions.
- Ability to manage numerous projects and deadlines, manage client expectations, and prioritize matters appropriately.
- OFCCP experience is a plus.
- JD and member of any state bar in good standing.
