Description
We are seeking an experienced trust officer to join our team managing client trusts and estates. As a trust officer, you will work directly with high net worth clients to manage assets placed in trust, administer estate plans, and provide personalized advice around wealth transfer plans.
Responsibilities
Administer various types of trusts and estates
Provide clients clear explanations and guidance on trust accounts and estate planning strategies
Review and interpret trust agreements and wills
Determine trust beneficiaries and distributions; execute investment and payout decisions
Manage communications with beneficiaries, executors, attorneys and other related parties
Work closely with investment advisors on developing and implementing investment plans
Stay current on trust, tax, and probate laws and regulation
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or related field; JD degree a plus
At least 5 years of experience in trust or estate administration
In-depth knowledge of fiduciary and trust activities
Strong analytical thinker with excellent communication skills
CFP (Certified Financial Planner) or CTFA (Certified Trust & Fiduciary Advisor) preferred
