Behavioral Health Technician

Location:
Scottsdale, AZ


The Behavioral Health Technician is responsible for assisting the clinical team and providing support and supervision for clients with complex co-occurring disorders.

Behavioral Health Technicians serve a critical role in the day-to-day implementation of client treatment plans and communicating client behaviors and progress to the treatment team.

Behavioral Health Technicians act as role models for positive interpersonal relationships and appropriate boundaries when working with clients.

The Behavioral Health Technician assists the Clinical Director, Milieu Director and Residential Program Manager with the implementation of various program-operated housing and maintenance needs and ensuring facilities are safe and secure through the completion of procedures designed to oversee the overall well-being of staff, clients and their environments.

Between $ $24.00 an hour


Responsibilities


Participate in the effective operation of milieu-related activities ensuring client safety and participation, as well as supporting clients in adhering to the program and housing guidelines and expectations.


Support facilitators with milieu related meetings including enforcement of milieu rules and structure and supporting clients in adhering to the program expectations and responsibilities in treatment.


Complete timely shift reports that convey clear and concise statements summarizing client's feelings, presentation and response in clinically significant encounters.


Remain updated on clients' treatment plans and clinical structures and support adherence to those structures during 1:1 shifts, house/room checks, and any milieu interactions, community outings, etc.


Provide client transportation and support, as needed, to medical appointments, outside recovery meetings, grocery shopping trips, recreational outings and other appointments, as indicated.


Fully understand and maintain policies regarding professional ethics, including appropriate boundaries and patient confidentiality; monitor documents according to company and HIPAA policies.

Model appropriate interpersonal relationships, emotional regulation, and boundaries.

Attend assigned weekly administrative, clinical, and training meetings.


Ensure that housing policy and procedures, related to client and environment safety are conducted as scheduled and in accordance with policy and procedure.


Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED is required

Ability to implement and enforce program guidelines, rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.

Specific, required, current, and active licensure, registration, or certification must be maintained in good standing.

Have a valid driver's license in good standing and auto insurance.

Successfully complete drug screen and comprehensive background check
