    Special Education Teacher | Anchorage, Alaska | Full-time

    Job Details:

    • Full-time position (37.5 hours per week)
    • Onsite, Monday to Friday, during the school year
    • Compensation: $40-50 per hour
    • Possibility of contract renewals
    • Develop Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) according to students' needs
    • Create and implement instructional activities for academic, communication, social, and life skills development
    • Apply evidence-based teaching techniques to help students with autism reach their educational goals
    • Collaborate with families and multidisciplinary teams for comprehensive student support
    • Utilize technology and visual aids to enhance learning and communication
    • Implement behavior management strategies to encourage positive behaviors
    • Track student progress, collect data, and adjust teaching strategies as necessary
    • Focus on 5th and 6th-grade students

    Requirements:

    • Bachelor's degree or higher qualification
    • Special Education licensure in Alaska
    • Background check clearance
