    Job Description

    Assistant Property Manager/Leasing

    The Assistant Property Manager collaborates with the Property Manager in overseeing the property and executing management tasks. This role involves thorough training on the Property Manager's responsibilities and covering for them when needed.

    Main Responsibilities:

    • Assist residents with issues and requests;
    • Reach out to residents with expiring leases to talk about renewals and promote lease extensions;
    • Prepare move-in kits and documentation;
    • Regularly inspect units that are ready for rent to ensure they are well-prepared;
    • Handle resident service calls and forward them to the appropriate department;
    • Generate work orders for maintenance and monitor progress;
    • Foster positive relationships with residents by addressing their needs promptly and courteously;
    • Manage and review all rental paperwork, ensuring accuracy and timely submission to the accounting department;
    • Organize tenant lease files;
    • Assist with resident move-ins and move-outs;
    • Attend to incoming calls and welcome visitors;
    • Show apartments and the property to potential residents, highlighting its amenities and using effective sales techniques;
    • Perform additional tasks as delegated by the Company and/or Property Manager;
    • Flexible availability including weekends may be required.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • College degree is a plus;
    • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written;
    • At least 2 years of prior property management experience is preferred;
    • Prior leasing experience is necessary;
    • Proficiency in computer skills, especially Microsoft Office, and familiarity with property management software such as Yardi;
    • Capability to thrive in a dynamic environment;
    • Willingness to work on weekends and overtime if needed;
    • Exceptional organizational and time management abilities;
    • Other duties may be assigned as required.
