About the Position:

Private household seeking a skilled and experienced Cook/Housekeeper with expertise in laundress duties. The household is based in Pacific Palisades, but during the summer, reside in Nantucket. We value professionalism, attention to detail, and a positive attitude towards domestic responsibilities.

We are looking for a versatile individual to join our household staff as a Cook/Housekeeper with laundress experience.

This position will primarily be involved in helping prepare food, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring the laundry needs of the household are met.

The role will require travel to Nantucket during the summer months, with a regular schedule in Pacific Palisades when not traveling.

Responsibilities:

Prepare and cook meals according to specified menus and dietary restrictions.
Clean and maintain kitchen, including appliances, surfaces, and utensils.
Perform general housekeeping duties such as vacuuming, dusting, and mopping.
Handle laundry tasks, including washing, drying, ironing, and organizing clothing and linens. (Miele Rotatory Iron Experience preferred)
Pack and unpack belongings for travel to and from Nantucket.
Collaborate with other household staff to ensure seamless operations.

Qualifications:

Previous experience as a Cook, Housekeeper, and Laundress in a private household setting.
Proficiency in cooking various cuisines and knowledge of dietary restrictions.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Flexibility to travel to Nantucket during the summer months.
Valid driver's license preferred.

Schedule:
Tuesday-Sunday, 12:00 PM - 8:00 PM (Pacific Palisades), with flexibility for travel during the summer.

Compensation:
$35/hr-$45/hr

Pay:
$ $45.00 per hour

Monday to Friday
Weekends as needed

Experience:

Housekeeping: 3 years (preferred)
Laundress: 2 years (preferred)

- miele rotary iron: 1 year (preferred)

Willingness to travel:

50% (required)
