    Description


    The Application Engineer is part of the Technology Deployment team and will provide expertise and support to customers and the commercial team.

    This role interacts directly with customer technical teams and will coordinate between the R&D department, Sales, Engineering, Quality Control, and Production.

    You will manage customer requirements and match to Fisher Barton expertise and capabilities and develop technical relationships with customers engineering teams.


    You will do this by:


    Developing solutions and solving customer problemsProviding Technical support and training for customers and Fisher Barton commercial teamEnhancing and developing technical relationships with customersCoordinating technical response to customer needsParticipating in key sales situationsParticipating in Trade shows / customer dealer eventsRepresenting Fisher Barton in technical events and societiesThe above statements are intended only to describe the general nature of the job and should not be construed as an all-inclusive list of position responsibilities.

    Required Qualifications:
    Bachelor's degree in Mechanical EngineeringSolid understanding of materials engineering requirements and processesProficient in computers and specific software; Microsoft Office, SolidWorks, Epicor, etc

    Preferred Qualifications:
    5+ years' experience in Engineering, and or Technical Sales in B2B environmentExperience in manufacturing environmentAdditional Knowledge & Skills:

    Support business development efforts, including cost estimation and preparation of white papers and proposals

    Travel Required:
    Up to 25% travelPhysical |

    Visual Demands:
    Weight amount that would need to be lifted, pushed or pulled: Up to 30 poundsSit, Stand, Walk, Talk/Hear, Use Hands,Peripheral vision (ability to observe an area that can be seen up and down or to the left and right while eyes are fixed on a give point)

    Depth perception (three-dimensional vision, ability to judge distances and spatial relationships)Ability to adjust focus (ability to adjust the eye to bring in an object into sharp focus)Work Environment:
