    Payroll Coordinator - Free Parking in College Park, MD

    About the Company and Opportunity:

    • Our client is a non-profit in College Park, MD who has been around for over 50 years
    • Due to an vacancy, they are looking to bring on a Payroll Coordinator to work in office.
    • The position is temporary, but for the right candidate can turn permanent.
    • Pay: $27-30/hr depending on experience.
    • Duration: ongoing - no set end date
    • Schedule is 30 hours a week - 6 hour days.

    Overview of the Payroll Coordinator role:

    • Responsible for assisting in the processing, monitoring, and reviewing of the bi-weekly payroll system.
    • Review, batch, and process timecards.
    • Assist in the review of employee change forms.
    • Update and maintain accurate payroll files and records.
    • Review and distribute payroll reports as needed.
    • Upload payroll and accruals to the financial system.
    • Assist with payroll disbursements including taxes, retirement plans, etc.

    Preferred Qualifications for the Payroll Coordinator:

    • 1-3 years of payroll experience
    • Proficient in MS Excel
    • Extremely organized, able to multi-task effectively and attentive to detail
    • Paychex and QuickBooks experience is a plus
    • Must be detail oriented with the ability to work independently
    • Fast and accurate data entry required
