We firmly believe that our community needs a school invested in supporting boys on their journey to becoming exceptional men. Field Middle School (formerly Peninsula School for Boys) is a non-profit independent middle school for boys in its third year of operation. We are currently hiring for a full-time 6th and 7th grade Humanities teacher. This is a once-in-a-teaching-lifetime opportunity to create and be a part of a mission-centered and innovative program, forge deep connections with students and their families, and build personal and professional skills by being part of the foundation of a new school.
This teacher/leader will work closely with our current English/Language Arts teacher to develop our scope and sequence and instructional model for our Humanities (E/LA, history, social studies) program. This person will take the lead in teaching and creating a program in history and social studies for 6th, 7th and 8th grades as part of this scope and model. The ideal candidate would be inspired by creating a state-of-the-art and irresistible history or humanities program for middle school boys.
