    Description

    Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) at CSH Beeville ICU

    The Registered Nurse (RN) plays a crucial role in providing professional nursing care, ensuring the comfort and well-being of patients. Responsibilities include preparing equipment, assisting physicians during examinations and treatments, administering medication, dressing changes, wound care, and monitoring vital signs. Additionally, the RN maintains patient records and actively participates in planning and implementing patient care as a team member or leader.

    CSH Beeville ICU, with 8 beds, specializes in complex patient care, striving to save and improve the lives of critically ill patients. The interdisciplinary team collaborates to address patient needs and support families through challenging times, emphasizing exceptional patient care and recovery.

    The ICU team comprises critical care nurses, pharmacists, respiratory therapists, physical therapists, and case coordinators, collectively developing personalized care plans communicated effectively with patients and families.

    Recognizing the significance of work-life balance, the organization supports nursing staff through self-scheduling initiatives, allowing flexibility in choosing schedules. This approach ensures the well-being of staff while maintaining safe staffing levels.

    Requirements:

    • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing, competent in assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care
    • One-year nursing experience preferred
    • Current Texas State RN License
    • CPR certification (American Heart Association)
    • ACLS certification required within 6 months, NIHSS certification required within 90 days of hire/transfer date
