    JOB SUMMARY:
    Quality Engineer Team Leader provides daily quality system support to the facility.

    The QETL understands the principles of product, process and service quality evaluation and control.


    Duties include, but are not limited to, development and implementation of quality control systems, application and analysis of testing and inspection procedures, use of statistical methods to improve processes, cost analysis of non-conformances, and auditing quality systems for deficiency identification and correction.

    Respond to customer concerns and document actions taken, acting Voice of the Customer (VOC).


    TASK:

    Defines company quality standards and the application of customer quality standards.


    Develop, control & maintain QMS documentation as required.


    Reviews drawings to identify quality measurables and concerns.


    Lead problem solving investigations related to internal & external issues.

    Resolves customer quality defect(s) using established root

    cause analysis tools.


    Maintain QMS performance metrics & prepare reports & analysis as required. Monitors long term quality trends and takes corrective action.


    Reports quality status of assigned customers and projects.


    Writes technical documents such as procedures, quality plans, reports, etc.


    Experience with precision

    inspection/measuring

    equipment & calibration systems & ability to properly use conventional & test equipment for production inspection.


    Implement/Maintain ISO 9001 QMS processes based on existing model.


    Provide leadership & support for Quality Inspection Team.


    Ability to stand, walk, climb, stoop, crawl & bend 50% of working time, lift up to 50 lbs.


    Performs other duties as required or assigned.

    EDUCATION / SKILLS / EXPERIENCE:

    B.S. degree in appropriate field


    Prefer a minimum of 2 to 4 years of experience


    Prefer but not required PPAP Process experience


    Proficient in MS Office Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook


    5S, 8D, Kaizen/Lean Manufacturing


    Prefer knowledge of Plastic Injection Molding


    Working knowledge of APQP Process (Process Flow, FMEA, Control Plans)


    Working knowledge of Statistical Process Control (SPC)


    Working knowledge of measuring & test equipment preferred (CMM, Vision Systems, Calipers, Micro-meters)


    Proficient in reading part drawings including GD&T


    Effectively apply a range of problem-solving tools in a team environment, identify root causes & appropriate corrective actions.


    Demonstrate competence in basic metrology, statistics, testing & inspection procedures.
