    Electronic Trading Developer (Vice President) (New York, NY). Mizuho Americas Services LLC.


    JOB DUTIES:
    Work with algorithmic traders to deliver robust algorithmic trading solutions. Maintain algorithmic trading system and ensure operational efficiency. Act as a central point of contact and an SME for all system related questions and issues. Ensure quality of the deliverable and compliance with corporate SDLC standards.

    Work with Business Users to document their requirements and design a solution that addresses their needs, given possible time to market and cost indications.

    Work with vendors to determine available options for integrating their systems within the environment and documenting system limitations. Determine and provide estimates and timelines to project managers in accordance with user requests.

    Ensure performance, availability and accuracy of the software solution provided is in accordance with agreed SLA and corporate SDLC standards.

    Regularly update management and project managers on the status of all pending items, open issues and risks pertaining to project implementation.

    Design, develop and modify software systems to ensure continued compliance to corporate SDLC and existing or emerging SLAs. Ensure that software is compliant with SDLC minimum test coverage and security vulnerability standard. Perform automated and manual testing of the components to ensure compliance. Regularly patch components and interfaces to ensure compliance with ever changing vendor protocols. Monitor and review on regular basis the change in system performance over time and ensure that SLAs are fulfilled. Analyze and project system usage data to ensure usage is consistent with intended pattern. Supervise and assign work to developers and junior members of the team. Review and sign off on their delivery. Telecommuting is permitted.


    REQUIREMENTS:

    Bachelor's or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field and five (5) years of experience in the job offered or related occupation.

    Experience must include five (5) years with each of the following:1.Understanding business requirements and incorporating them into software applications.2.Following the defined software methodology for the project and developing the software accordingly.3.Analyzing the software components and then creating design documents like workflow charts, class diagrams, sequence diagrams depicting the functionality to be performed.4.Programming and implementing the software application using Java, J2EE, JSP, servlets, Javascript, Struts, JMS, Hibernate, SQL, SVN, Stored Procedures, Sybase & Oracle database on Unix and Windows platforms.5.Adhering to the best coding practices while developing the software.6.Coding unit tests to ascertain the functionality of the developed code using libraries such as JUNIT.7.Rectifying any bugs identified during the QA and UAT testing of the software application.8.Conducting proof of concepts to evaluate and incorporate new technologies.
