    • Good understanding of the system architecture/ large scale enterprise system.

    • Strong in troubleshooting

    Responsibilities:
    • As a Senior Java Engineer, you will Designing and implementing Java-based applications.
    • Analyzing user requirements to inform application design. o Defining application objectives and functionality.
    • Aligning application design with business goals. o Developing and testing software.
    • Debugging and resolving technical problems that arise. o Producing detailed design documentation. o Recommending changes to existing Java infrastructure.
    • Developing multimedia applications. o Developing documentation to assist users. o Ensuring continuous professional self-development Experience Level
    • 12+ years of hands-on experience with Java, Spring boot, C++
    • 6+ years of hands-on experience with Kafka
    • Good exposure to micro services and Kubernetes, Docker Experience in large systems or distributed system Good exposure to cloud technologies
    • Background in Scrum/Agile development methodologies.
    • Capable of delivering on multiple competing priorities with little supervision.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    • Bachelor's Degree in computer science or equivalent experience.
    The most successful candidates will also have experience in the following:
    • Gitflow
    • Atlassian products - BitBucket, JIRA, Confluence etc.
    • Continuous Integration tools such as Bamboo, Jenkins, or TFS Location.
    • This position will be based in Reston, Virginia
