    About the Job:

    · Responsible for Canadian staff payroll including timesheets and payroll processing

    · Handle tax account registrations with state and local tax jurisdictions

    · Research and resolve all tax notices from federal, state and local agencies

    · Reconcile monthly, quarterly and annual taxes, amendments and W2-corrections

    · Complete multiple worksite reporting and respond to various state employment surveys i.e. BLS, OEWS

    · Ensure personnel updates and payroll tax changes are completed timely and accurately in all systems

    · Responsible for accurate and timely tax reporting to federal, state and local agencies in conjunction with ADP

    · Respond to employee questions and requests in a courteous and timely manner by both phone calls and emails

    · Perform and assist with other tasks and duties as assigned

    *This role will follow a Hybrid schedule with Monday/Friday as remote days.

    What we're looking for:

    • Sound knowledge of payroll regulations and best practices, taxes and reporting requirements for US and Canada
    • Associates or bachelor's degree and/or related payroll or tax certification preferred
    • 5+ years of Payroll experience in a multi-state environment
    • 5+ years of Payroll tax experience required
    • Proficient computer skills with database payroll systems particularly Deltek Costpoint, Ceridian, ADP WorkForce Now
    • Ability to coordinate and direct detailed phases of payroll functions for multiple projects including staff and union crafts
    • Prior experience with union craft payroll and union fringe benefits administration

    Additional Qualifications:

    • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook is required
    • Strong verbal, written and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively to all levels of the organization
    • Demonstrated ability to take initiative and be self-motivated, be flexible and adaptable, and work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
    • Must have the ability to handle and prioritize many projects simultaneously and successfully meet goals and deadlines
    • Must be able to comply with regulatory requirements, policies, and procedures
    • Demonstrated analytical skills and ability to perform detail-oriented work with a high degree of accuracy
    • Ability to recognize and define problems, recommend, and implement solutions
    • Demonstrated experience handling confidential information and a high degree of professionalism
    • Must be effective at working in a highly collaborative environment, act with integrity, and have demonstrated ability to gain the trust and confidence of internal clients
