"The German Railway is one of the most diverse employers in Germany. Every year, we are looking for over 5,000 apprentices in 50 different professions who want to grow and improve with us.

Starting on September 1st, 2024, we are looking for you to join our 2-year apprenticeship program as a train traffic controller (m/f/d) for DB InfraGO AG at our location in Weilheim. The vocational school is located in Landshut. After that, you will complete a 6-month practical training at DB InfraGO AG. Following this, you have the opportunity to continue your education for 2 more years to become a specialist in railway operations.
During your apprenticeship, you will be working in one of the many control centers of the railway (called "signal box") and learn the following tasks: You will observe and control train traffic with technical support, such as screens or display boards, to ensure that trains take the correct route. You will decide when trains should stop, go, or overtake. You will operate and adjust switches and light signals, thus influencing train traffic. Additionally, you will be in contact with train drivers via radio to inform them of any changes. Your goal is to ensure safe and smooth train traffic.
What to expect during your apprenticeship:
