JOB TITLE: Network Operations Administrator NOC - Mid Level

LOCATION: San Bernardino, CA or Austin, TX

DURATION: 6 months

PAY RANGE: $31.00 per hour

TOP 3 SKILLS:

• Proficiency in IP addressing and general IP concepts

Role Description:

• SCOPE: Responsible for maintaining network performance by monitoring traffic, performance, and configurations. Identifies and resolves network issues. Provides strategic direction for the network system. Manages and evaluates team members.
• KNOWLEDGE: Seasoned professional with in-depth expertise; resolves a variety of challenges in innovative ways. A senior-level, career-focused position.
• COMPLEXITY: Addresses broad-spectrum problems requiring thorough data analysis. Demonstrates sound judgment in selecting problem-solving techniques. Collaborates with senior internal and external contacts.
• SUPERVISION: Works independently on daily tasks and requires minimal guidance for new projects.

Experience Requirements:

• Minimum of 4 years related experience.
• ChatOps knowledge (Slack) - Creating and managing channels, coordinating resources, and engaging customers through Slack
• Customer service proficiency - collaborating with customer support representatives and high-level engineers
• ServiceNow, Confluence / JIRA familiarity
• Proficiency in IP addressing and concepts
• Basic Active Directory skills
• Fundamental security background - assisting with password resets and guiding users on issue resolutions

Desirable Skills:

• Knowledge of streaming technologies for gaming via MS Teams or similar platforms
• Event management expertise - utilizing alert systems like BigPanda or other event management tools, taking charge of alerts, and troubleshooting with Runbooks/SOPs
• Basic understanding of Splunk/ Datadog
• Foundational understanding of API concepts and implementations
• ITIL experience in Incident Management, Problem Management, and Change Management

Additional Qualifications:

• Proficiency in AWS, Kubernetes, or other cloud technologies
• Strong grasp of software development processes
• Familiarity with open-source technologies
• Experience in client-side database programming with SQL, Perl is a plus
• High school diploma or GED required

Preferred Qualifications:

• Completion of a four-year college degree (e.g., BA, BS)
