- 3+ years of conference planning experience required, preferably with financial conference experience
- Clear and precise communications with the ability to effectively engage, direct, and communicate with senior management
- Strong tactical execution skills with the ability to drive projects from concept to completion
- Must have events experience is the finance industry
- Corporate Access experience a plus
- Ability to manage multiple projects requiring much attention to detail in a fast-paced environment and within tight deadlines
- Highly organized; ability to handle multiple tasks and apply judgment to prioritize
- Working knowledge of audio visual systems necessary for corporate events
- Superior knowledge of food and beverage and catering services
- Ability to manage vendor relationships and contract negotiations
- Analytical and budget knowledge; ability to adhere to strict budget guidelines
- Experience with compliance rules and regulations as related to client events and gift & entertainment rules
- Detail-oriented team player; willing to collaborate with Corporate Communications team on certain projects, as assigned
- Ability to navigate a large complex organization
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; both oral and written
- Strong Computer Skills, (MS Office)
- Bachelor's degree required, preferably with an emphasis in hospitality or communications

Department overview
The Corporate Communications department is the central office that manages all communication activities for Nomura. It plans and co-ordinates high level events for clients and manages the firm's corporate reputation in the Americas.
