JOB PREVIEW:
Under the direct supervision of the payroll administrator is involved in the receipt, review and processing the OTC Bi-weekly payroll every week.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
- Receives, calculates and inputs all payroll data necessary to process the OTC biweekly payroll in a timely and accurate manner.
- Contacts managers/supervisors in order to retrieve missing time reports.
- Assists with researching and resolving employee payroll issues.
- Sorts/distributes paychecks to various departments/programs.
- As required, participates in the development of new procedures and policies related to payroll operations.
- Keeps the payroll administrator advised of potential problem areas and recommends solutions as appropriate.
- Maintain and complete Temporary Disability payments for Quarterly entry.
- Willingly and effectively cooperates with OTC, The Department of Human Services, The Division of Developmental Disabilities (DDD), and other licensing or state agency or local municipalities in any inspections and investigations, upon request.
- Performs other duties, as assigned.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- 1 to 2 years payroll experience.
- Ability to communicate effectively.
- Ability to work with highly confidential information.
- Strong organizational and detail oriented skills required.
- Must have computer skills and ability to learn HRIS systemPayPro (WorkForce1) and Paycom, a plus.
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
Necessary Special Requirements
- Employee should agree to have their name verified against the Central Registry of offenders against individuals with developmental disabilities.
- Employee shall submit to drug testing prior to employment and agree to submit to drug testing upon random selection and for cause.
