    Description
    Maintenance Mechanic
    Member of plant operations team. Reports to Maintenance Manager / Plant Manager.
    Repairs manual and automatic manufacturing, packaging, material handling, and process equipment with minimal supervision.
    Uses MMS (SAP or other) System to maintain maintenance records, parts inventory, and other pertinent information.
    Performs various plant maintenance functions to maintain the general operation of the facility.
    Significant experience and knowledge of PLC and integrated troubleshooting with automated machines.
    May from time to time specify or be a team member that specifies new equipment or modifications to existing.

    Follows all plant policies and practices to ensure safety, quality, service, and cost objectives are met. Practice continuous quality improvement in all processes. Knowledgeable of and practices root cause analysis
    Knowledgeable of and practices Preventive and Predictive Maintenance
    Be a project team member and lead some small projects or sub-projects of a larger project.
    Repair and maintain equipment and assets in a safe and efficient manner.
    Work with production/operations and have knowledge of Bostik products and equipment. Understanding maintenance processes, applications, and terminology related to manufacturing. Must safely repair electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, plumbing, mechanical, and carpentry systems. Basic welding, millwrighting, and blueprint and schematic reading.
    Work cooperatively with all employees, vendors, and contractors.
    Assists in maintaining an acceptable level of housekeeping.
    Performs various troubleshooting and preventative maintenance duties to equipment as needed.
    Tracking performance against goals including - uptime, downtime, mean tie to failure etc.

    Work in a fast paced production environment where safety, accuracy and speed are essential. Work with minimal supervision.
    Use of hand and power tools as well as forklifts, scissor lifts, and slings / lifting equipment.
    Use of computer for data management and training.
    High performing teams and excellent communications are standard for the facility

    Maintain equipment and report issues to management as needed.
    Understanding of production and process equipment.
    Adherence to Bostik, OSHA, and local regulations / policies.
    Repair, replace, improve equipment and document same after communicating with all stakeholders
    Understand equipment failures and put actions in place to improve and prevent repeat issues
    Responsiveness to production and other customers along with problem solving and learning
    Uptime of equipment, repeat failure reduction ( Improvement of machine uptime and quality)

    degree in industrial maintenance a plus.
    3-10 years experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
    Demonstrated computer skills (Microsoft Applications, Lotus Notes??).
    PLC knowledge/experience required (Allen Bradley /Siemens)
    Ability to troubleshoot electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical systems.
    Willing to work an off shift and overtime as necessary.
    Formal training in PLC or other electronics / controls a plus
    Knowledge of metrics and experience tracking maintenance performance
