    As the Senior Director of Data Science & Analytics at Homeward, you'll be at the forefront of transforming healthcare delivery in rural America. This role demands a leader capable of leveraging data and technology to dismantle the barriers to high-quality healthcare. Through strategic data analysis and insightful analytics, you'll drive our mission forward, ensuring that our solutions are not only effective but truly revolutionary.

    What you'll do:

    • Strategic Data Leadership: Craft and implement a data science and analytics strategy that supports Homeward's mission and align this strategy with our core values.
    • Innovative Solution Development: Use advanced data analytics to develop personalized care pathways that address both medical and broader social determinants affecting health outcomes. Emphasize the creation of scalable, technology-driven solutions that can overcome traditional healthcare delivery barriers.
    • Population Health Analytics: Lead efforts in population assessment and stratification, leveraging data to understand and segment the rural population by their unique healthcare needs and preferences. Drive the development of targeted interventions spanning preventive care, chronic disease management, and end-of-life support.
    • Community Engagement and Trust: Utilize data to build and deepen trust with rural communities. Support personalized, culturally sensitive engagement efforts that significantly increase healthcare participation and satisfaction.
    • Team Development: Lead, mentor, and expand a top-tier data science and analytics team. Promote a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
    • Develop business intelligence products to support insights-driven decisions across various stakeholders including marketing, member engagement, clinical delivery, actuarial/finance, and operations.
    • Operational Excellence: Streamline data processes for efficiency and reliability. Oversee the maintenance of high data availability and performance.
    • Stakeholder Communication: Effectively communicate the strategic impact of data initiatives, engaging with both internal and external stakeholders.

    What you bring:

    • Over seven years experience in the healthcare industry, with at least five years serving as a data science and analytics leader.
    • Profound expertise in integrating medical data and population health analytics.
    • Excellent communication skills, capable of translating complex data insights into actionable strategies for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
    • Demonstrated leadership in developing and motivating high-performing teams.
    • Boast a track record of innovative problem-solving using advanced data techniques, showing not just technical prowess but also creative thinking in applying data science to real-world health issues.
    • Demonstrate a commitment to ethical data use, showcasing initiatives or policies you've implemented to ensure data privacy, security, and ethical considerations are paramount in data analysis and application.
    • Knowledge of healthcare regulations and certifications like HIPAA and HITRUST is essential due to the sensitive nature of healthcare data.

    • Demonstrated leadership in directing healthcare data acquisition strategies and execution, which includes vendor selection and management.
    • Have pioneered data-driven healthcare solutions in underserved or rural areas, demonstrating a deep understanding of the unique challenges and opportunities these communities face.
    • Exhibit thought leadership in the field, whether through published work, public speaking, or active participation in industry forums, contributing to the broader conversation on the future of healthcare.
    • Experience in collaborating with provider groups or companies that enable Value-Based Care (VBC).
    • Hands-on experience working within the Amazon Web Services (AWS) cloud environment.

    The base salary range for this position is $180,000 - $245,000 annually. Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate's qualifications, skills, location, competencies and experience. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work at Homeward Health. This role is eligible for an annual bonus, stock options, as well as a comprehensive benefits package.
