ABOUT THE POSITION:

The Digital Commerce Specialist position is responsible for productivity gains in the Customer Service department. This is accomplished by identifying inefficient work processes, analyzing root causes, creating countermeasures, and implementing improvements.

The primary focus of this role is the planning and execution of a strategic plan to increase customer utilization of MISUMI's web ordering system.

This position is based in our Schaumburg headquarters and is on-site Monday through Friday.

You will support the Customer Service Planning team through the following responsibilities:


  • Analyzing customer service operations and detecting possibilities for improving productivity.
  • Creating and delivering training materials across the organization relating to the web ordering system.
  • Promoting and conducting workload reduction activities to improve productivity.
  • Discovering website problems including the web ordering system and identifying solutions by collaborating with IT and global headquarters as necessary.
  • Analyzing and reporting results of each implemented improvement, and execution as well as next action plans.
  • Generating customer analysis and reports.
  • Working closely with vendors or internal resources to modify design and wording on website.
  • Partnering with the customer service trainer on ideas, activities, and initiatives to promote the use of our web ordering system.

WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU:


  • B.S. or B.A. or equivalent
  • 3+ years of project experience in web, web marketing, or sales preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to write in a variety of formats.
  • Experience with Internet sales, promotion, and marketing metrics and Website best practices.
  • Extensive knowledge and high level of proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Word).
  • Skills include critical thinking, problem solving, and interpersonal communications.
  • Ability to work with technical topics and make effective presentations.
  • Must demonstrate a high level of energy, enthusiasm, and leadership.
  • Must be flexible, eager to learn and open to new ideas.
  • Travel up to 10%.
