- Plan, organize, and manage telecom construction projects from inception to completion.
- Coordinate with engineering and management teams to develop project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource requirements.
- Collaborate with procurement teams to source materials, equipment, and subcontractors necessary for project execution.
- Perform site walks to determine scope of work and produce quote for materials and services.
- Conduct site inspections to ensure compliance with safety regulations, quality standards, and project specifications.
- Prepare and review rigging plans.
- Supervise construction crews, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure work is performed according to schedule and quality requirements.
- Monitor project progress, identify potential risks or delays, and implement corrective actions as necessary to keep projects on track.
- Review and approve project documentation, including drawings, permits, change orders, and invoices.
- Communicate effectively with project stakeholders, including clients, internal teams, and external partners, to provide updates on project status, milestones, and issues.
- Manage project budgets, track expenses, and provide regular reports on financial performance.
- Foster a culture of safety, quality, and teamwork on construction sites, promoting adherence to company policies and industry best practices.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and permitting processes for telecom construction projects.
- Evaluate project outcomes, identify lessons learned, and implement process improvements to enhance future project delivery.
- Proven experience in telecom construction management, with a minimum of 5 years in a similar role.
- Strong understanding of construction processes, techniques, and best practices, particularly in the telecom industry.
- Excellent project management skills, including the ability to plan, organize, and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Experience managing project budgets, schedules, and resources to achieve project objectives.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting construction plans, specifications, and technical documents.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire project teams to achieve goals.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact professionally with diverse stakeholders.
- Knowledge of safety regulations, OSHA requirements, and industry standards relevant to telecom construction.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools for scheduling, budgeting, and document management.
- Willingness to travel nationwide to project sites and work flexible hours as needed to meet project deadlines.
- Knowledge of electrical codes, regulations, and standards relevant to construction projects.
- Relevant certifications or licenses (e.g., PMP, PE, OSHA 30) may be preferred.
- Successfully clear background checks ensuring compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements, demonstrating integrity and suitability for the role.
- Position entails extensive travel, up to 70% nationally.
- Completion of mandatory drug screening process in adherence to company policies, ensuring a safe and productive work environment for all team members.
- Verification of legal authorization to work in the United States and completion of Employment Eligibility Verification Form I-9, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and upholding the integrity of the hiring process.
- Preferred possession of Competent Climber Certification, indicating proficiency and commitment to safety protocols in environments requiring elevated work, enhancing operational readiness and mitigating risk factors.
