    Description

    Job Summary:

    The Nurse Manager PACU maintains shift accountability for the coordination and facilitation of the delivery of quality patient care on their unit.

    Encourages staff to achieve high performance standards through education and role modeling.

    Utilizes knowledge and expertise in participation of case management to provide comprehensive, coordinated, seamless care to patients and their significant others.

    Resolves conflicts on the Patient Care Unit and uses established conflict resolution techniques to steer and direct care team members towards an amicable solution.

    Manages Human and Material Resources effectively and efficiently. Directs staff in Performance Improvement activities that improve patient outcomes, patient satisfaction and enhances organizational efficiency.


    Responsibilities:
    Ability to Preop & Recover patientsWork directly with the patient care team in identifying and solving patient problems/complaintsRelay patient information to doctors and communicate with other health team members about a patient's careProvide information about care and treatment to patients and familiesPromote an atmosphere which facilitates collaboration and empowerment of staffAssess and evaluate staff competencyAssist with ensuring adequate labor coverageFull-Time (75 hours biweekly)


    Days8:30 AM - 5:00 PMRequirements:NYS Registered Nurse License requiredPALS, ACLS, and BLS through the American Heart AssociationCPAN preferredExperience in a team-based, collective bargaining environment desirableBasic knowledge of regulatory agency requirementsAbility to establish staffing patterns and staffing schedules requiredABOUT USFor more than 40 years, ATC Healthcare has provided leading nurses and healthcare professionals to hospitals and facilities nationwide.
