- Proven and recurring success working in construction, engineering, or project management roles
- Experience overseeing/ managing others
- Comfortable with traveling 50-60%
- Familiarity with Ovation, WDPF and other DCS and PLC manufacturers I/O and cabinet layouts.
- Experience in power generation or related industry
- Knowledge of electrical and mechanical equipment and associated field I/O
- PMP Certification

- Project Oversight:
- Inspect the construction site: Regularly visit the site to assess progress, safety compliance, and adherence to engineering standards.
- Coordinate with teams: Meet with engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders to discuss project updates, challenges, and solutions.
- Resource Management:
- Allocate resources: Ensure that materials, equipment, and personnel are available as needed.
- Budget monitoring: Keep track of project expenses, approve invoices, and manage costs.
- Quality Assurance:
- Quality checks: Verify that work meets engineering specifications and quality standards.
- Address issues: Identify and resolve any deviations or deficiencies promptly.
- Risk Management:
- Risk assessment: Evaluate potential risks (e.g., safety hazards, delays) and implement mitigation strategies.
- Safety protocols: Enforce safety protocols to protect workers and prevent accidents.
- Communication and Reporting:
- Meetings: Attend project meetings, update stakeholders, and address concerns.
- Documentation: Maintain records, prepare progress reports, and document site activities.
- Problem Solving:
- Adapt to challenges: Address unexpected issues (e.g., weather disruptions, design changes) effectively.
- Decision-making: Make informed decisions based on project priorities and constraints.
- Team Support and Leadership:
- Motivate the team: Encourage collaboration, teamwork, and a positive work environment.
- Resolve conflicts: Mediate disputes and foster productive relationships.
- Long-Term Planning:
- Project vision: Keep the big picture in mind and align daily actions with long-term project goals.
- Continuous improvement: Identify areas for process enhancement and implement changes.
- When traveling on a job site:
- Implement outage plans during installation and commissioning of control system retrofit projects with an emphasis on site safety
- Lead Emerson team members through complex outages and coordinate activities such as demolition, installation, loop checks, functional checks, startup and tuning
- Integrate multiple subcontractors and Emerson employees as one team by providing clear direction
- Support a variety of DCS retrofit applications such as BOP systems, steam turbines, gas turbines, PV solar, and hydro
- Oversee the progress of craft labor teams and ensure the entire project scope is performed
- Be the customer's single point of contact and communicate with the internal Emerson team
- Create and communicate daily work status reports including action plans
- Maintain the outage schedule and resource plan and minimize financial impacts to Emerson
- Be able to tackle problems in a short period of time to achieve project success
- Ensure customer satisfaction while onsite, from pre-outage through final acceptance
- When remote/ in office:
- While not supporting outages, you will participate in contractor walkdowns, prepare Scope of Work documents, assist with cost estimates and offers, engage in pre-outage planning and preparation, provide technical guidance to project teams, and work with sub-contractors to develop relationships
