- Medical Education: Develop and deliver comprehensive medical education initiatives, including presentations, symposia, and advisory boards, to enhance understanding of disease states, treatment options, and emerging therapies.
- Clinical Support: Provide scientific and clinical support to cross-functional teams, including medical affairs, marketing, and sales, to ensure alignment of strategies and initiatives with medical objectives.
- Clinical Trial Support: Collaborate with clinical research teams to support the execution of clinical trials, including protocol development, investigator meetings, and data dissemination, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and ethical guidelines.
- Strategic Collaboration: Partner with internal stakeholders to identify opportunities for strategic collaborations, publications, and research initiatives that contribute to the advancement of medical knowledge and patient care.
- Market Insights: Gather and analyze market insights, competitor intelligence, and scientific trends to inform strategic decision-making and drive innovation within the organization.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant industry regulations, guidelines, and internal policies in all interactions and communications with external stakeholders.
- Doctoral degree in a life science discipline (MD, PhD, PharmD, or equivalent) required.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Medical Science Liaison in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry.
- In-depth knowledge of rare diseases, including understanding of disease pathophysiology, treatment landscape, and relevant clinical trials.
- Proven track record of building and maintaining relationships with key opinion leaders and healthcare professionals.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex scientific concepts to diverse audiences.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to critically evaluate scientific literature and data.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to travel extensively within the assigned territory as needed.
