Description
Job Description
Job DescriptionCritical Minerals International Inc. is a free cash flow focused miner founded to increase American supply chain security in critical minerals. The company has an ownership stake in seven mining assets in the USA and is developing mining opportunities in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. CMI was founded in 2022 and is currently based in Denver, CO. We anticipate having three assets in production in 2024 on two continents.
CMI is committed to delivering mining industry 2.0 performance that is radically transparent with stakeholders, takes a partnership approach with local communities and prioritizes improving water quality around in and around our projects. CMI is more focused on adding the best talent and developing the right culture than generating growth for growth's sake. CMI was founded on a firm commitment to team and community-oriented values even at the expense of short- or intermediate-term profits.
Job Description:
Reporting to CFO (initially to the CEO), the Finance Manager will manage budgeting, forecasts, and financial planning processes, develop and present planning deliverables to senior leadership and other key stakeholders, and provide insightful analysis to drive strategic business decisions.
The Finance Manager will also oversee audits, financial reporting and building finance/accounting teams in our international projects (and joint ventures). The Finance Manager collaborate in the developing of the company's ERP, risk management and reporting systems.
This role will provide accurate and timely information, compile, verify, and analyze financial information, and flag key economic indicators so that senior leadership has accurate and timely information for making strategic and operational decisions. The right Finance Manager candidate will take initiative, work independently for the most part with regular check-ins with the executive time and will recognize where and how to add value without a large amount of guidance. CMI will invest in the Finance Manager to become part of the executive leadership team. Our projects are unique, highly dynamic, interesting and very challenging – we are looking for someone who enjoys that and thrives under these circumstances.
FOR THIS POSITION WE ARE ONLY CONSIDERING CANDIDATES WITH MINING EXPERIENCE WHO LIVE IN THE DENVER AREA.
