    SENIOR ACCOUNTANT ANALYST
    We are seeking

    a highly skilled and experienced Senior Accountant to join our team.

    As a vital member of the finance team, you will play a key role in ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance with regulatory requirements and effective financial management to support the organization's mission


    TYPE:
    Long term contract


    PAY:
    Up to $95K DOE- may have a little flexibility


    HOURS :
    Monday-Friday 8:00a-5:00p- flexible on hours as long as 8 hours are worked

    YOUR DUTIES FOR THE
    SENIOR ACCOUNTANT ANALYST:
    Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
    Generate financial reports for internal stakeholders, management, and external parties as required.
    Provide insightful financial analysis to aid decision-making processes.
    Collaborate with department heads to develop annual budgets.
    Monitor budget performance and provide variance analysis.
    Assist in the development of financial forecasts to support organizational planning.
    Manage and account for grants, ensuring compliance with grantor requirements.
    Prepare financial reports for grantors and participate in grant audits
    Oversee the integrity of the general ledger.
    Perform monthly reconciliations for all relevant accounts.
    Investigate and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner
    Bank Reconciliations
    Journal entries
    Assist Director of Finance in the annual budgeting process.
    Understand variances from the budget
    Cash flow management
    Prepare initial financials needed for lender and tax compliance
    Prepare annual financials for review
    HOW YOU ARE QUALIFIED FOR THE
    SENIOR ACCOUNTANT ANALYST:

    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
    Proven experience (5+ years) as a Senior Accountant.
    Must be comfortable being a hands on accountant working on all aspects of accounting from A-Z.
    Will not manage any others in this role
    Strong knowledge of nonprofit accounting principles and compliance requirements.
    Experience with fund accounting and grant management.
    Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
