    Associate Product Manager, Supplemental

    Role Summary:

    We are thrilled to offer the exciting opportunity for an Associate Product Manager to join our Supplemental product team at Zaner-Bloser.

    As the Associate Product Manager, you will collaborate closely with the Director of Product Management, Supplemental, to define and oversee the development of new products and features within our supplemental product line. This involves engaging with various teams such as art & design, production, learning design, product marketing, and digital, to shape and prioritize the product development roadmap across different stages of the Product Lifecycle. Your role will be crucial in advocating for the customer in all discussions, reflecting market trends and user needs throughout the product lifecycle.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Approach tasks with a learner mindset.
    • Display curiosity and respect towards students and educators.
    • Show appreciation for the essence of 'product'.
    • Contribute to ongoing product development by documenting assumptions and gathering inputs for business case development.
    • Use financial insights and data to drive decision-making processes and align the organization with market demands and product vision.
    • Document and prioritize new product and feature ideas.
    • Collaborate with various teams to create product concepts aligned with standards and research.
    • Partner with Product Management and Product Marketing Directors to launch new products successfully.

    Initial Objectives:

    • Quickly familiarize yourself with our history, portfolio, and ongoing projects.
    • Collaborate effectively by crafting a narrative to support a product concept based on research and market insights.

    First 30 Days:

    • Work cross-functionally to define product initiatives and features.
    • Engage in regular meetings to establish and refine our product backlog.
    • Present your first product idea to the Product Leadership Team for feedback.

    First Year Goals:

    • Collaborate with the Product Management team to prioritize the product backlog.
    • Show expertise in our product offerings and how they meet customer needs.
    • Lead a new product launch under the guidance of the Director.
    • Assist in prioritizing the backlog to align with our growth strategy.

    Supervisory Responsibilities: None.

    Qualifications:

    • Required: Bachelor's degree in Education, Business, or Technology.
    • 3-5+ years of experience in projects related to instructional solutions.
    • Understanding of K-12 education with teaching or administrative background.
    • Proven ability to synthesize inputs into compelling narratives.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office tools.

    Desired Qualifications:

    • Familiarity with Product Board.
    • Experience/training in the Optimal Product Process (OPP).
