    United Talent Agency Engineering Teams mission is to use software technologies to develop innovative and sustainable solutions to business requirements. We do this by understanding the current portfolio and improving the technology by implementing the correct software architecture and building the necessary integration to consume the data from applications through a mature API Management Platform.

    We are looking for a seasoned hands-on Manager for Software Delivery and API Management to build the foundational architecture and API Management platform. The efforts will enable UTA to take advantage of its rich Data ecosystem.

    You will provide direction on solution design and document, communicate, and implement the design patterns they utilize. You will lead the creation of proposed and new systems and reverse engineering existing systems. The prime accountability for you is significant projects and will develop detailed and robust requirements, code, test, and implement proposed strategies and architecture.

    What Youll Do

    Champion your teams good habits (development techniques, security, tech debt balance, TDD, and agile and devops practices); improve engineering standards, tooling, and processes.

    Develop software development standards, code and API platform.

    Have active participation in all phases of the project lifecycle, and work with project management to remove impediments and provide visibility to stakeholders.

    Willingness to be a player-coach and lead product initiatives with an engineering team.

    Proactively identify and leverage new and existing technologies like Cloud-based Onyx CRM to achieve key business objectives.

    Utilize KPI within the company to deliver on key company goals, metrics, and data insights

    Develop cloud-based proprietary software to meet company goals and accelerate the business

    What You Need

    Bachelors Degree in Computer Science (or equivalent experience) strongly preferred

    8+ years of relevant engineering experience in fast-paced environments

    4+ years experience managing development teams, preferably with distributed teams

    5+ years prior experience programming in at least one OO language

    4+ years experience with RESTful APIs & Building API Management Platforms

    3+ years experience in cloud-native environments (AWS, or Azure)

    Experience in Monolith and Microservices Architecture.

    Experience with MERN and MEAN stack, PHP or Python.

    Experience with Responsive Design

    Experience with modern CMS systems (WordPress, Drupal, Contentful)

    Experience with CDN technologies.

    Track record of meeting schedules on time; clearly defining deliverables and timetables, with demonstrated ability to balance multiple priorities in complex environments.

    Demonstrated ability as an effective mentor and coach who understands how to integrate into a team of talented developers successfully

    A self-starter with exceptional analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills

    Hands-On Development experience in software development and API management, comfortable with front-end and back-end technology.

    Translating business requirements into technical solutions, recommending alternative technical and business approaches, and leading engineering efforts to meet aggressive timelines with optimal solutions.

    Experience implementing requirements of the API layer like analytics, throttling, caching, logging, cataloguing and response modifications, etc.,

    Experience in developing and managing decoupled applications.

    Leading vendor-developed applications, assuring external entities follow UTAs published software development architecture.

    Have worked with Product owners, operations, security engineers, and data engineering to build robust applications.
