Job DescriptionSt. Andrew's Presbyterian Church is seeking a candidate with Christian values, a heart for service, and a desire to grow Christ's Kingdom by becoming an integral part of St. Andrew's staff as Communications Coordinator. The Communications Coordinator supports St. Andrew's vision of One Campus, One Ministry by providing effective communication and coordination across all staff members, church congregation, visitors, school parents and the surrounding community. The Communications Coordinator manages the day-to-day operations of the following work processes.
Responsibilities include:
Administration
· Ensure all administrative needs of the organization are met for all staff members
Reception, Receiving & Tours
· Manage the front desk of West Campus including answering the phone
· Act as receiving function for all people wanting to gain access to the West Campus adhering to the organization's security policies for
· Handle those seeking assistance in accordance with the organization's security and assistance policies
· Provide tours of the Campus properties
Communications
· Create Desktop Publishing for all requested materials.
· Design and publish Web Site Content for all requested content
· Social Media for all requested content
Sanctuary Flowers
· Coordinate and manage calendar for weekly Sanctuary Flowers
Special Events Coordination
· Work with staff and all ministries to coordinate special events
· Work with church families and visitor families to coordinate special events
Space Reservations & Calendars
· Work with the church volunteers to ensure that space requests from all parties are reviewed by staff and approved
· Ensure that space conflicts are avoided
Ideal Qualifications
· Personal faith in Jesus Christ and active member of a local congregation
· Three years' similar work experience
· Bachelor's degree or some college completed preferred
· Proficiency in technology needed to execute day-to-day responsibilities
· Creative graphic design skills
· Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
· Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
