    Manager of Accounting Overview:

    Position Reports to:
    President and fractional CFO advisor.

    Salary range of $90,000 - $125,000 plus incentive compensation program (target: 10% of salary earned, up to 20% of salary earned)

    Responsibility Overview:


    Provide leadership and guidance to a team of accounting professionals and support staff, fostering a collaborative and high-performing work environment.

    Manage daily accounting operations including general ledger maintenance, tax compliance, and management of accounts receivable and accounts payable functions.

    Take ownership of the monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting close processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in financial reporting.

    Ensure the precise and punctual processing of bi-weekly payroll, maintaining compliance with relevant regulations and alignment with internal processes.


    Manage accounting and administrative functions associated with employee benefits such as insurance programs, 401(k) plan, employee referral bonuses, tuition reimbursement, and health and flex savings accounts (HSA/FSA).

    Ensure compliance with financial, tax, and 401(k) regulations and requirements, overseeing audit processes and implementing necessary adjustments for adherence.


    Continually assess and refine accounting processes and systems to improve efficiency and effectiveness, leveraging innovating solutions and systems where appropriate.

    The right candidate will meet the following requirements:


    A reputation as a supportive and highly competent manager, with a history of fostering teamwork both within Accounting and across other departments and functions.

    Passion for collaborating face-to-face with team members. This is an on-site position.

    Known for high attention to detail with exceptional analytical thinking and accounting skills.

    Strong Microsoft skills particularly with Excel.

    Demonstrated ability to improve and automate manual processes.

    Bachelor's degree; Accounting or Finance preferred.

    Strong experience with accounting and financial software; Sage Intaact a plus.

    Strong payroll and benefits processes and systems skills; BambooHR and ADP Workforce Now a plus.

    Minimum of seven (7) years of progressive accounting experience and five (5) years of supervisory experience.


    NOTE:
