- Conducting stakeholder and project research
- Scheduling, organizing, coordinating logistics, and preparing materials for meetings and events
- Staffing stakeholder and community meetings, assisting with meeting set-up and helping with attendee registration
- Drafting meeting notes and summaries
- Providing technical support for virtual meetings (on platforms such as Microsoft Teams, Zoom, etc.)
- Completing data entry and managing databases
- Assisting with mail-outs, performing mail merges, printing letters, and stuffing envelopes
- Drafting and editing communications materials and correspondence
- Conducting in-person outreach, including staffing "pop-up meetings," tabling at community events, and block-walking
- Conducting online outreach via social media
- Communicating with stakeholders in person, over the phone, and in writing
- Transcribing written comments and sign-in sheets, scanning and filing digital materials (document control)
- Representing Rifeline at meetings and events
- Communicating verbally and in-writing with stakeholders in English
- Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) experience
- Writing and editing experience
- Multitask and prioritize multiple deadlines
- Work collaboratively as part of a team
- Project management experience
- Communicate via telephone, in writing, and in person
- Comfortable working on controversial issues or projects
- Flexibility to work after normal work hours (occasionally required)
- Access to a vehicle or reliable transportation to attend meetings/events and transport supplies in Austin and surrounding areas
- Translating written communications into Spanish
- Communicating verbally and in-writing with stakeholders in Spanish

Rifeline has an affinity for facilitating public buy-in using a dynamic combination of grassroots and grasstops outreach, and high-level public affairs.
While we thrive in complex, controversial, and politically challenging situations, we provide public involvement and community outreach services for all types of projects and initiatives. Currently, Rifeline works heavily on various transportation projects. Some of our current clients include the Texas Department of Transportation (Mobility35), the City of Austin, Williamson County (Transportation Corridor Development), Capital Metro (Project Connect), Central Health (Health Equity Policy Council and Community Health Champions) and the Brazos River Authority.
DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES
The Community Outreach Coordinator / Senior Community Outreach Coordinator will support senior team members in implementing public engagement and community outreach activities on behalf of clients as well as manage projects and various tasks through completion. Under the supervision of senior team members, activities could include, but will not be limited to:
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree with major coursework in public relations, communications, or a related field. For the Senior Coordinator position, a minimum of two years of work experience related to the duties described above is required.

The typical salary range is $50,000 - $60,000 annually but compensation will be commensurate with experience.
